ANNOUNCING THE STERILE PROCESSING ROLES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES COURSE ON-LINE!!

This course is designed for employees working in a Sterile Processing area, in the Operating Room, or other areas of a Hospital performing cleaning, decontamination, packaging and sterilization services.

The New Jersey State Department of Health now requires certification for personnel performing sterile processing functions. This course will help train you in the best practices for the profession.

At the completion of this course, a certificate of completion will be provided. This program will prepare candidates to sit for the CBSPD or IAHCSMM technician certification examinations.

The course given in person each year in the New Jersey area. We will post the dates and locations in NJ as soon as they become available.

This course was developed by Nancy Chobin, RN, CSPDM, a Sterile Processing professional with over 27 years' experience in the profession. She has been published numerous times and lectures extensively in the United States and internationally including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.

Many of the modules were also developed by Karen Swanson, LPN, CSPDM, Teckla Maresca, LPN, CSPDM, Carlene Evans, CSPDM and Nyla “Skee” Japp, RN, Ph.D., CSPDM.

Final Exam

**At the end of each module is a set of questions. When you submit your completed quizzes on-line we will correct them for you and advise you of your score. The passing score for each module is 70. There is no re-testing for modules 1 thru 28. You must complete all of the modules and pass the final exam with a grade of 70 or better to receive a Certificate of Completion for this course. If you do not pass the final exam, you can retake it as many times as you need at a cost of $15 per re-test.**
