This course is designed for employees working in a Sterile Processing area, in the Operating Room, or other areas of a Hospital performing cleaning, decontamination, packaging and sterilization services.

The New Jersey State Department of Health now requires certification for personnel performing sterile processing functions. This course will help train you in the best practices for the profession.

At the completion of this course, a certificate of completion will be provided. This program will prepare candidates to sit for the CBSPD technician certification examination.

This course was developed by Nancy Chobin, RN, CSPDM, a Sterile Processing professional with over 27 years' experience in the profession. She has been published numerous times and lectures extensively in the United States and internationally including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Thailand, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.

Many of the modules were also developed by Karen Swanson, LPN, CSPDM, Teckla Maresca, LPN, CSPDM, Nora Wikander, RN, CSPDM, Sue McManus, RN, CSPDM and Nyla “Skee” Japp, RN, Ph.D., CSPDM.

Final Exam

**At the end of each module is a set of questions (unless stated otherwise). When you submit your completed quizzes on-line, you automatically will be advised of your score as well as which items you answered correct/incorrect. Please note, for the Final Exam, only your score will be given and the answer key will not be shown. The passing score for each module is 70. There is no re-testing for modules 1 thru 29. You must complete all of the modules and pass the final exam with a grade of 70 or better to receive a Certificate of Completion for this course. If you do not pass the final exam, you can retake it as many times as you need at a cost of $15 per re-test.**
