1) Describe the functions performed by sterile processing personnel within the decontamination area.
2) Outline the standards required for a high-quality decontamination process.
3) Identify employee health and safety considerations associated with the decontamination process.
4) Understand the role of personal protective equipment (PPE) as it relates to OSHA regulations and employee safety and health.
5) Describe the procedures that SPD personnel must follow and the precautions they must observe during the preparation and use of cleaning agents used in the decontamination process.
6) Identify the cleaning methods and equipment used in reprocessing medical devices.

  • Requests for refunds/billing inquiries must be received within 7 days of the order date.
  • Items must be returned within 10 business days of purchase and be in the original condition in which they were shipped; new and undamaged. All returned items will have a 10% restocking fee deducted from the refund. Shipping costs will not be refunded.
  • Sterile Processing University, LLC does not accept Purchase Orders. Pre-payment is required on all orders.
  • If the purchaser has a question about an order, please reach out to our friendly team for assistance. Any chargebacks that are assessed will incur a non-refundable fee of $80.00.
